At the time the front line in the battle against the Germans was in Holland. A review of graves in the Schoonselhof cemetery shows a significant number of deaths on November 27 which was when a V2 impacted on Teniers Square as an Allied military convoy was passing through. The explosion killed 157 persons including 29 Allied soldiers. It is very possible that Derrick English was one of them given the date of his death and where he is buried.
