World War 2 eventually covered all continents and where there were British troops there were Pay Services personnel, be that:

  • Suffering the collapse of Hong Kong and internment
  • The fall of Singapore and securing the "Treasury Chest" aboard the MV Empire Star
  • The creation of a major Pay Office in Meerut India serving troops in India, Burma and Ceylon
