Cpl S Duffield
Corporal S. Duffield 1914-15 Star, British War and Victory Medals
Corporal Sydney Duffield served on the Western Front with the Notts & Derby Regiment from 3 March 1915, he was wounded on 23 April 1917 losing one arm and discharged in January 1918, he re-enlisted with the R.A.P.C. serving until 1921, it would appear he was a tactical weapons specialist and he and a few officers were spared going over the top on the first day of the Somme to be kept in reserve.
